Amanda & Andy have bought an MGF convertible for just £1,000 and are about to point it towards Europe for a four-day rally from St Ives Rugby Club to Pisa… and then all the way back again!
Thousands of miles.
Questionable navigation.
A budget sports car with a mind of its own.
It’s going to be loud, unpredictable, and probably involve at least one “character building” roadside moment – but it’s all for an incredible cause.
We’re taking on this slightly mad adventure to raise money for Little Miracles, a charity that does truly life-changing work for families of children with additional needs, disabilities, and life-limiting conditions.
Little Miracles provides:
⦁ A warm, non-judgemental environment
⦁ Support from before diagnosis onwards
⦁ Advice, guidance and practical help
⦁ Activities, training and safe spaces for families
⦁ Ongoing support from birth up to age 25
Their holistic approach supports the whole family – offering not just services, but understanding, community and reassurance when it’s needed most.
The plan is simple:
⦁ Leave Cambridgeshire.
⦁ Drive to Italy.
⦁ Turn around.
⦁ Hope the £1,000 MGF agrees with the plan.
In reality? Expect plenty of laughs, a few wrong turns, and maybe some creative problem-solving along the way.
We’ll be squeezing thousands of miles into four days – all while doing our best to keep the car (and ourselves) in one piece.
